In the beginning…
Hello friends.
A lot has gone on over the last few weeks in the Sparrows camp, so we wanted to give you a bit of a low down on our progress.
First things first. We have two new members to the Sparrows family. Brandon Desjardins and Devlin Morton.
You make recognize Brandon from local Metalcore heavyweights After the Vendetta. He will be playing bass with us, and bring some much needed height to the band.
Devlin, most notably from Fractures (and less recently a little band called the Dirty 30′s), has taken over the vacant guitar position. He is quickly learning the art of delay.
Secondly, we have been locked away for the last little while working on some new material, that will be coming out on a 7 inch in the spring. More info on that release will come in the coming weeks. But we are very excited to finally have some new material to share. We’ll have some recording updates once we’ve hit the studio in February.
In the meantime, we have set up a big sale on all our left over tour merch, to help us fund this release! We have $10 t-shirts (including a few girls shirts that are left), $25 hoodies and as little shipping costs as we were allowed to. Plus we’ll throw in a bunch of freebie stickers, pins, posters and whatever else we have left over into every order.
As well, on our bandcamp we have dropped the download price of Goliath to $2!

We hope you all had a fantastic new year.
2012 is beginning for us with some exciting news.
To start off, we’d like to introduce you to a new face in the Sparrows camp:

Welcome to the new, and temporary, Sparrows website.
As we get set to undergo some big changes over the next few months, we thought it was a good chance to revamp things a bit, and give you guys something new to visit.
As you can see we have slimmed things down for the time being, but we will have some fun news coming along in the next few weeks.

Anyway, be sure to check out the shows page, as we do have our last show of the year coming up for our hometown pals. There are some stellar other bands playing, so it should be an excellent time. Plus it’s a charity show for the Ottawa Food Bank. Yum.
